The essentials in 30 seconds
Three things most reviews do not make clear.
Watching is usually free
Chaturbate and Stripchat let you watch public rooms and open an account without paying. You pay for tips, private shows and memberships.
The site name is not on your statement
Charges show the processor or the company, such as EPOCH.COM or Technius Ltd. Make a small purchase first and check.
Refund windows are short
48 hours on Stripchat, 24 on BongaCams, 30 days for billing errors on Chaturbate. Tips are final almost everywhere.

Frequently asked questions
How do cam sites work?
Adults stream live and viewers can watch, chat and pay for interactions using tokens, an internal currency bought in advance and spent on tips, private shows and memberships.
Are cam sites legal to use?
Rules depend on where you live. Some countries and US states require age verification, the UK requires highly effective age checks, and Sweden criminalized paying for live sexual performances in 2025. This guide is not legal advice.
How much does a cam site really cost?
A token costs roughly $0.05 to $0.11 depending on the platform, pack and payment method. Performers set their own per-minute rates, so a few minutes of a private show can cost several dollars.
How does this site make money?
Through affiliate commissions: if you sign up or buy through links marked Ad, the platform may pay us. Details in our affiliate disclosure.
